If you are in an area where you work or study, and there is not enough lighting, you will be setting up an unnecessary strain on your eyes. Poor eyesight is becoming very common now that people spend so much time indoors in front of computer screens, so use lighting to help overcome this problem rather than to make it worse.

The trick is to use your imagination and think what will work well in one room before you are ready to move on to the next one.
